COVID Update:  As Covid cases continue to decline and booster shots become available to all, we hope you will join us for worship in person.  We are asking you to socialize before and after the service in our Narthex or outside rather than inside the Sanctuary.  The doors to the Sanctuary will be opened at 10:20 to allow you to find a seat where you feel comfortable.  If you do wish to arrive early and enter the Sanctuary to spend some personal prayer time, the ushers will provide access as requested.

Visitors

Visitors are most welcome at Blue Ridge United Methodist Church.  We want your visit to be filled with meaningful worship and spiritual growth.  Check out the “I Am New” tab at the top of this page to learn more about what you can expect and answers to some of your questions.

If you would like to receive the monthly newsletter or want more information about the church, please contact us by phone or email.  If you are interested in joining the church, please see the Pastor after the service or contact the church office.

Prayer Garden

The Prayer Garden is open at all times for anyone who wants to either come and just site in the quite of the chapel or walk and talk to God along the pathways.  In March, we will again begin the Sweet Hour of Prayer on Thursdays, noon to 1:00pm, in the Prayer Garden.   There is a box available at the chapel if you would like to put in a prayer request for one of the pastors.

Fannin Council of Methodist Churches – 5th Sunday Dinner

The Fannin Council of Methodist Churches represents all Methodist Churches in the County. Their purpose is to create a greater sense of community between the churches. On those months where there is a 5th Sunday, a church hosts a fellowship dinner where all the church members can get together.

This month Epworth United Methodist will host the “Annual Chili and Dessert Contest”. Everyone is invited to bring a pot of their favorite chili or dessert. “Votes” can be purchased for 50¢ each. The person with the most votes at the end of the evening gets bragging rights for the year. This is the major fundraiser for the council. Please make plans to attend and participate. The Fellowship Dinner will be January 30, 2022 at 6:00pm in the Epworth Fellowship Hall.
