PRAYER GARDEN

The Evangelism Committee is happy to announce we have dedicated our Prayer Garden and Chapel.  Thank you to everyone who came out to help us bring our Garden to life this week.  Special thanks to Kathy and Charlotte, as they have worked diligently to get us to this point.  We also need volunteers to help with weeding.  If you are interested please contact Charlotte Dickinson.

We continue to move forward with our plans.  The chapel structure has been erected and pastors are available to pray with the congregation and community from Noon until 1:00 pm every Thursday.

We are very excited about what this will mean to our church and our community.  We appreciate the donations of both plants and money that allowed us to get started.  For more information, please contact the church office.

CHURCH WALKING GROUP

We invite you to join our Church Walking Group on Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m. (weather permitting) behind the church by the rock painted 1/4 mile.  4 times around the perimeter and you have gone 1 mile.  Everyone walks at their own pace and distance – which keeps us social distancing.  Walking is good for you!  Come join us on Thursday mornings or use the trail on your own.

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB NEEDS

The Fannin County Boys and Girls Club is in need of snacks for the children.  Snacks will be collected during August and September.  Suggested snacks include:  goldfish, pretzels, sun chips, nutri grain bars, and popcorn.  Donations can be dropped off in the Fellowship Hall for distribution to the Boys and Girls Club.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Volunteers are needed for the Church Nursery/Preschool starting Sunday, July 4th.  There is a signup sheet in the Narthex on the coffee bar for individuals to sign up for dates they are available.  If you would like additional information please contact Suzanne Bienert or Karen Alsup.

Are you an artist, potter, crafter, woodworker, gardener, or just creative?  The UMW needs handcrafted items for the Silent Auction to be held during the Spaghetti Dinner hosted by the UMM.  Let’s get to work and raise funds to support local charities and our church.

More information to come.
